General information
Emergency contact. If you need to get in touch with care farm staff in an emergency on a Tuesday, please call 07341 770366 in the first instance and 01309 690700 in the second.
Clothing and footwear. Please ensure participants come to the service with appropriate clothing and footwear. We provide personal wellies, jumpers and caps for each participant and encourage everyone to bring waterproof clothing whatever the weather. During the winter months it is particularly important that participants are warm enough. Please make sure the person you care for is sufficiently warm before they leave. Layered clothing is ideal as items can be taken off if they get too hot.
Sickness and time off. If the person you support is unexpectedly unable to attend for any reason please call or text the service mobile phone number on 07341 770366 before the bus pick-up time. This phone is only switched on on a Tuesday and should therefore be used to make contact with care farm staff on a Tuesday only. If the person you are supporting is planning a holiday, please let us know in advance by emailing carefarm@findhorn.org or calling 01309 690700.
Ticks and Lyme Disease. During the summer months we do have ticks on site. Some ticks may carry Lyme Disease and so it is important that any ticks found are removed properly within 24 hours.
